Dr. Danny Ker is a Vice President, Quality Management with TUV SUD PSB Pte Ltd (f.k.a. PSB Corporation Pte Ltd), he specialises in the area of Total Quality Management & Business Excellence Management and he has a total of over 35 years of experience in many aspects of business excellence management.

Currently, he holds a Doctor of Business Administration degree from University of South Australia, a Master Degree in Knowledge Management from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, a second Master of Science degree in Total Quality Management/Business Excellence from Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom, a Bachelor of Business degree in Supply Chain Management from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Australia, a Diploma in Materials Management from Singapore Institute of Purchasing & Materials Management/North London Polytechnic, United Kingdom and a Certified Quality Manager by the Singapore Quality Institute. He is currently an Associate Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Purchasing and Materials Management and a National Business Excellence Assessor, SPRING, Singapore (www.spring.gov.sg/)who has assessed several business excellence applications. He is also a qualified Tony Buzan's Licensed Instructor on Mind Maps. Recently, he has completed his Specialist Diploma in Advanced Digital Manufacturing from Technical University of Munich (TUM Asia).

In his profession since 1992, Danny has developed and implemented consultancy and training programs for large and small businesses, manufacturing and service industries, including government agencies and private sectors. He started off as a Planner with Olivetti Singapore for 6 years and was attached to Olivetti’s Headquarter in Ivrea, Italy for assignments. He joined Sony Precision Engineering Center (SPEC), Singapore as a Manager for their Device Technology & Value Analysis Center in Singapore and was sent to Tokyo, Japan on quality development programs. He is now a Certified Quality Trainer by Sony Corporation, Japan and a Certified Professional Trainer by the International Professional Managers Association (IPMA), United Kingdom. He received a total of 5 promotions during his tenure with the companies.

As a Vice President, Quality Management, he has trained more than 8,900 professionals in various programs such as teambuilding, creativity & innovation, quality improvement, problem-solving & decision making techniques & tools…etc and has worked with various large well known organizations such as PT Semen Cibinong (HolCim Cements), PT Pulau Sambu, PT Bank Dharmala, John Hancock Life Insurance, Great Eastern Assurance, Dunlop Singapore, Singapore Airlines Terminals Services (SATS), Housing Development Board (HDB), Sarawak Power Station, Sejingkat Power Station, Public Utilities Board (PUB), Singtel, National Parks Board, National Skin Centre, Mobil Oils Singapore, Philips Electronics Technologies Singapore, Kenwood Electronics Malaysia, SingTel Singapore, Gardenia Foods, NTUC Income, American Insurance Assurance (AIA), VISA International (VISA Cards), VDL Enabling Technologies Group Singapore, GongShang Primary School, …etc

One of his biggest challenges was that he had turned around an Indonesian plantation company with staff of inadequate competency and low profitability into a multi million-dollar company. Since then, he is appointed as a Business Excellence Advisor to this company.

On top of this, Danny received the prestigious Parent Support Group award in 2003 by the Ministry of Education for assisting GongShang Primary School to be the first primary school in Singapore in achieving various certifications and awards, he was featured in the Ministry of Education’s COMPASS magazine for contribution to schools on “World Class Education” and currently he is also an Advisor to several schools in their quality excellence programs.

Danny is a Certified Private Education Organisation teacher by the Ministry of Education and he conduct courses on Diploma for Quality Excellence and Quality Assurance. Currently, he is appointed as the Technical Committee member with ISO CASCO under Enterprise Singapore.
